titleOfInvention | New photochromic pyrano-fused naphthopyran |
abstract | (57) Abstract A novel photochromic pyrano-fused naphthopyran compound is disclosed. Examples include a substituted or unsubstituted "S" pyran ring, the 3- and 4-positions of which are fused on the f side of the naphtho moiety of naphthopyran, and a specific substitution at position 2 of the "T" pyran ring. It is a naphthopyran compound having a group. Certain substituents may also be present on the fifth, seventh, eighth, ninth, tenth, eleventh, or twelfth carbons of the compound. This compound is represented by the following formula (I). Also disclosed are polymeric organic host materials containing or coated with such compounds or their combination with complementary photochromic compounds (eg, certain other naphthopyran, benzopyran and spiro (indoline) type compounds). are doing.
