titleOfInvention | Reagents and methods useful for detecting prostate disease |
abstract | (57) Abstract A set of contiguous or partially overlapping RNA sequences, called PS112, and the polypeptide encoded by it and transcribed from prostate tissue are described. Fully sequenced clones representing the contiguous sequence of PS112 are also disclosed. These sequences are useful for detecting, diagnosing, staging, monitoring, prognosing, preventing or treating or predisposing to a prostate disease or condition, such as prostate cancer, in an individual. Also provided is an antibody that specifically binds to a PS112 encoding polypeptide or protein, which is a molecule useful for treating prostate disease, tumor or metastasis, and an agonist or inhibitor that interferes with the action of a tissue-specific PS112 polypeptide. I do. |
