(57) [Abstract] A method for preparing a conductive polymer is described. The method comprises reacting a conductive polymer precursor, a strong acid, and a chlorate or chloric acid, and a salt of iron under polymerization conditions in the presence of a reaction medium. Surprisingly, it has been discovered that this combination of oxidizing agents results in a higher yield of conductive polymer than either chlorate or chloric acid or iron salts. |
