abstract (57) Abstract The present invention is a textured surface release layer for photoreceptors used in electrophotography. The release surface is textured, preferably oriented in the image processing direction. The present invention provides a means for providing a textured release surface for a photoreceptor, an apparatus that uses an oriented and textured photoreceptor, and uses an oriented and textured photoreceptor. Liquid electrophotographic imaging methods are also included.
