titleOfInvention | Electric field release mass spectrometry |
abstract | (57) Abstract: A method for releasing and analyzing a substrate such as DNA, comprising the steps of: a) sharing the substrate with a first electrode via a releasing group which can be split according to applied energy; Or b) a covalent or coordinate bond to establish a potential between said first electrode and a second electrode separated by a vacuum or gas phase from said first electrode. Direct application of sufficient energy to the releasing group to introduce an electric field of sufficient strength to cause the substrate to stand, and to cleaving the releasing group and releasing the substrate into a vacuum or gas phase.
