Production of lithographic printing plates |
abstract |
(57) [Summary]nPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel lithographic coating which is compatible with digital or laser imaging technology.nSOLUTION: A phenolic resin composition formulated for use in a lithographic exposure step is coated on a lithographic substrate and shortly heat-treated at 40 to 90 ° C. to produce a lithographic printing plate. Such a heat treatment can accelerate the subsequent exposure step and, in particular, reduce the sensitivity of the composition over time. |
