(57) Abstract An angiographic syringe device includes a manifold and a valve that selectively connects either a syringe pump or a low pressure device to a catheter inserted into a patient's body. The valve is normally biased to connect a low pressure device to the catheter for pressure monitoring, saline flushing or suction functions. When an injection is to be made, the valve switches automatically so that the syringe pump is connected to the catheter through the manifold, while the low pressure device is not disconnected and is not exposed to high pressure. |
