titleOfInvention Layered absorption structure with heterogeneous layer region
abstract (57) Abstract: A unique absorbent comprising an absorbent core having a plurality of absorbent layers, wherein the absorbent layers interact to preferentially place the liquid within a designated highly saturated guiding layer. The localization of the liquid in the guiding layer increases the potential for liquid movement by capillary action of this layer due to the high saturation level and the increased amount of liquid available. In certain aspects, at least one main layer region can have a heterogeneous structure. In another structure, at least one main layer region can include a plurality of two or more sub-layers.
