abstract | (57) Abstract The present invention provides novel PGF analogs. Specifically, the present invention relates to compounds having the structural formula of formula (A). Embedded image R 1 , R 2 , R 3 , R 4 , X, Y, and Z in the above formula are as defined. The present invention also includes the optical isomers, diastereomers, and enantiomers of the above formula, as well as their pharmaceutically acceptable salts, their biohydrolyzable amides, esters, and imides. The compounds of the present invention are useful for treating various diseases and conditions such as bone disorders and glaucoma. Accordingly, the present invention also provides pharmaceutical compositions containing these compounds. Further, the present invention provides a method for treating bone disorders and glaucoma using these compounds or a composition containing these compounds. |
