(57) [Summary]nThe present invention relates to a method for the enantioselective reduction of prochiral ketones to chiral alcohols, comprising: a) prochiral ketone and an effective amount of a silane agent derived from a zinc, cobalt, cadmium precursor compound. And reacting in the presence of a catalyst derived from a chiral ligand selected from the group consisting of amines, imines, alcohols and chiral amino alcohols; b) hydrolyzing the resulting siloxane using appropriate reagents; c) separating and purifying the optically active alcohol formed. |
