Stabilization of Helicobacter urease |
abstract |
(57) [Summary]nThe present invention provides methods for stabilizing recombinant Helicobacter urease by (i) contact with a compound that modifies the amino acid of urease, or (ii) genetic modification of the amino acid of urease. The stabilized urease is prevented from undergoing molecular aggregation or activation (eg, in vitro activation) that is characteristic of untreated urease. |
