abstract (57) Abstract: An absorbent article includes a closely fitted bodyside liner having an opening. The opening defines a front edge, a rear edge, and a pair of laterally opposed side edges. The article also includes a pair of resilient members extending longitudinally beyond at least one of the end edges of the opening in the lateral branching direction. The elastic member may extend at least partially along the side edge of the opening. The elastic member is configured to maintain contact between the edge of the opening and the buttocks of the wearer and to align the opening and the buttocks of the wearer during use. The article further includes a liquid treatment material disposed on the bodyside liner in the front waist section to absorb and contain liquid waste.
