(57) Abstract: Provided are cytochrome P450 II- dependent monooxygenases and DNA molecules encoding the monooxygenases, which biosynthetically convert aldoximes to nitriles and the corresponding precursors of cyanoglycosides from the nitriles. It can catalyze the conversion to the body cyanohydrin. Furthermore, the present invention provides a method for obtaining the DNA molecule of the present invention and a method for obtaining a transgenic plant or a plant with improved nutritional value that is resistant to insects, acarids or nematodes. |
