abstract Abstract: Disclosed is a surgical osteosynthesis composite having three components: a biodegradable polymer reinforcement, a bioceramic or bioglass filled reinforcement, and a biodegradable polymer matrix. TECHNICAL FIELD The present invention relates to a biodegradable substance used as a fracture fixing device and the like, and a method for producing the same. Unlike other known materials conventionally used in this application, the composites of the invention have two different reinforcing phases and one matrix phase. One reinforcement is called a polymer reinforcement and the other is called a ceramic reinforcement.
