titleOfInvention | A method for inhibiting corrosion of flux treated metal surfaces. |
abstract | (57) [Summary]nThe present invention relates to a method for inhibiting corrosion of a flux-treated metal surface. The method comprises providing a fluxed metal surface with one or more monocarboxylic acids or salts or isomers thereof and an effective amount of a corrosion inhibiting surfactant such as a water soluble alkali or alkaline earth metal nitrate. Contacting with a formulation comprising the corrosion inhibitor composition. The method has proven to be a surprisingly effective means for inhibiting corrosion of fluxed metal surfaces found in cooling systems of internal combustion engines. |
