titleOfInvention | Methods and systems for analyte determination |
abstract | (57) [Summary]nThe present invention relates to methods, kits and systems for determining an analyte in a liquid sample, and their use for concentration analysis and screening purposes. In one method, a specific binding partner for an analyte is allowed to compete with a conjugate or analyte analog containing the analyte for binding to free analyte. The conjugate also includes a component that specifically binds to the solid support, such that when the reaction solution is contacted with the solid support, the reacted and unreacted conjugates bind thereto. I do. The amount of analyte is then determined by the amount of binding partner immobilized on the solid support via the reacted conjugate with label-free mass detection techniques (eg, surface plasmon response). This is made possible by the binding partner having at least 5 times much more mass than the conjugate. A modification of this method is also disclosed. |
