abstract SUMMARY A liquid separation device and an in-line orifice mixer system are disclosed. The liquid separation device utilizes a syringe (10), which is used to obtain a liquid sample such as blood in a centrifuge device; and further stores the syringe for later use. And as a source of the separated liquid portion for transfer. The syringe containing the separated partial source and the second syringe (50) containing the second source are connected to an in-line orifice mixer device. The mixer device (44) includes a plurality of orifice walls (58) that do not align one orifice with an adjacent orifice to uniformly mix the components. The mixer device may further include an outlet orifice wall having one or more orifices for discharging the homogeneous mixture.
