abstract (57) [Summary] A vehicle operated by a motor having a pad (16 ', 16 "), a rotor (10'), and a stator (20) having higher temperature resistance and wear resistance than generally used brake parts. The pads (16 ', 16 "), the rotor (10') and the stator (20) are preferably made of a fibrous reinforced ceramic matrix having high temperature resistance and wear resistance. Adding such erosion / friction inducing materials to the brake surface or dispersing them in the composite material improves the high temperature resistance and wear resistance of the fibrous reinforced ceramic matrix. Also disclosed is a method of casting a brake pad (16 ") entirely on the surface of a metal brake component.
