titleOfInvention Etherification-hydrogenation method
abstract (57) Summary A method for removing diene from etherification uses a hydrogenation zone (24) in a reactor distillation column (20) above the etherification zone (22). MTBE is produced and unreacted C 4 stream, it is also subjected to selective hydrogenation of butadiene contained in the C 4 feed oil stream. The C 4 stream is introduced through line (101), methanol is introduced through line (102), they are combined in flow line (104), subsequently, the distillation column through line (103) ( Enter 20). Here, C 4 stream is contacted with methanol in the etherification zone (22), where, MTBE is distilled downward. The unreacted C 4 component, then, subjected to selective hydrogenation in the hydrogenation zone (24). There, the butadiene in the top raffinate (108) is reduced by more than 90%. C 4 components are hydro processing, thus, butadiene is harmful, it is suitable for cold acid alkylation or other applications.
