abstract (57) [Summary]nA product is provided wherein the self-supporting structure formed of a natural polymer comprises a sticky, moisture-resistant, hydroxy-functional polyester on the surface of the structure. The self-supporting structure is preferably a foamed one in which starch and polyvinyl alcohol are blended. Products typically do not delaminate when immersed in water and are biodegradable.
