titleOfInvention | Chimeric adenovirus vector |
abstract | (57) [Summary]nA chimeric adenovirus vector, wherein the first comprises a nucleotide sequence of a first adenovirus and encodes a protein that promotes binding of the vector to a target mammalian cell or its internalization into the cell. All or part of at least one gene of the adenovirus has been replaced with all or part of the corresponding gene from a second adenovirus belonging to subgroup D, and the vector is further substituted in mammalian cells. Provided is a vector comprising a transgene operably linked to a eukaryotic promoter for allowing expression of the gene. Also provided are compositions comprising such vectors, and methods of using such vectors to deliver transgenes to target mammalian cells, particularly airway epithelial cells. |
