titleOfInvention | Nematode resistance gene |
abstract | (57) [Summary]nThe present invention relates to nucleic acids that induce resistance to nematodes resident on plants of the family Solanaceae, Chenopodiaceae, and / or Brassicaaceae. The nucleic acid comprises, inter alia, a translation region which is at least 60% homologous to the sequence of the c gene of Beta procumbens. The invention also includes the sequences of the cDNA and genomic clones of the nucleic acid. Further, it includes a vector containing a nucleic acid for resistance to a nematode resident in a plant, such as a vector such as a yeast artificial chromosome “YAC”. The present invention also relates to the use of nucleic acids or vectors for inducing resistance to nematodes resident in plants, and to transgenic plants containing nucleic acids or vectors. Furthermore, the invention relates to a test kit comprising a protein encoded by the nucleic acid, the nucleic acid and / or the vector, and a method for producing nematode resistance in plants. Finally, the invention also relates to nucleic acid promoters, their use, and primers for PCR. |
