abstract | (57) [Summary] The embolization device of the present invention comprises an eddy current in a high-frequency power supply (12) and a metallic coil (3) connected to the high-frequency power supply (12) and inserted into a vascular deformity (6). An induction coil section (13) located around the affected area of the patient into which the metallic coil (3) has been inserted such that a turbulence is generated. The eddy current generates heat in the metallic coil (3), which heat coagulates and contracts the vascular deformity (6) to insert the metallic coil into the vascular deformity, thereby embolizing the vascular deformity. Incomplete embolization phenomenon, rupture of a vascular deformity caused by excessive insertion of coils, and displacement of inserted coils can be avoided. |
