titleOfInvention | Preparation of naphthyridine compound and novel intermediate |
abstract | (57) Abstract: R represents hydrogen or C 1 -C 4 alkyl, Ar represents phenyl which may be substituted, Hal independently represents fluorine, chlorine or bromine, and n represents 1 Is an advantageous process for the preparation of naphthyridine compounds of the formulas (Ia) to (Ic), which represent 2 or 3, whereby the halogenated nicotinic acid, isonicotinic acid or picolinic acid is reacted with an aminoacrylate to give the halogenated compound. 2-nicotinoyl-, isonicotinoyl- or picolinoyl-3-aminoacrylate, which is reacted with an optionally substituted aniline to form a halogen containing an amino group corresponding to the optionally substituted aniline. 2-nicotinoyl-, isonicotinoyl- or picolinoyl-3-aminoacrylate is obtained. A second halogenated 2-nicotinoyl-, isonicotinoyl- or picolinoyl-3-aminoacrylate is added to the compound of formulas (Ia)-(Ic) where R = C 1 -C 4 alkyl by adding an acid scavenger. In the case of the preparation of the compounds of formulas (Ia) to (Ic) where R = H, the compounds of formulas (Ia) to (Ic) where R = C 1 -C 4 alkyl are saponified. |
