titleOfInvention Connector device and method for surgically connecting and securing a flexible tissue repair member
abstract (57) Abstract: A connector for linking a portion of a flexible material includes an inner member and an outer member, which are snap-engaged by passing the inner member through a hole in the outer member to form a suture. Grab the edge of a flexible material such as and fix it. The flexible material is placed in the hole in the inner member and exits the side portal and passes between the shared or opposed surfaces of the inner and outer members. The serpentine passage locks the flexible material in place. The present invention further provides an applicator for maintaining the outer member in alignment with the receiving end of the inner member loaded with the flexible material. The applicator further includes a cooperating element for moving the outer member over the inner member to lock the flexible material in place.
