PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a test device for distinguishing the state of an analyte, for example, follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), which can exist in different forms. SOLUTION: The first which does not distinguish between two analyte states is provided. The assay and two simultaneous assays, a second assay that distinguishes the two analyte states, are used to compare the assay results. Disclose a novel pair of anti-FSH monoclonal antibodies that can be used together in a sandwich format assay to distinguish pre- and postmenopausal FSH samples. |
