abstract | (57) Abstract: A good image is formed in an electrophotographic apparatus using an electrophotographic photosensitive member having amorphous silicon in a photoconductive layer 102. SOLUTION: A macroscopic uneven shape having a size of about several μm and a microscopic uneven shape having a size of about several nm to several tens nm are generated on the surface of a photoreceptor. An electrophotographic photoreceptor in which the microscopic unevenness is defined in an appropriate shape rather than the macroscopic unevenness, more specifically, the microscopic unevenness is in a range of 10 μm × 10 μm on the surface. By using an electrophotographic photoreceptor formed in such a shape that the half-value width of the frequency distribution of the unevenness height based on the deepest point of the microscopic unevenness falls within the range of 5 nm to 100 nm. Image formation can be performed. |
