abstract (57) [Summary] [PROBLEMS] To efficiently ingest magnesium, which is an essential and easily deficient mineral in the human body, without suppressing the development of off-tastes and bitterness and without impairing the original taste of food. SOLUTION: A magnesium salt of an organic acid such as citric acid, gluconic acid, succinic acid, tartaric acid, malic acid, lactic acid, acetic acid, itaconic acid, adipic acid or fumaric acid is added to a raw material or a seasoning liquid, and a magnesium salt of the organic acid is added. The food and drink for supplementing magnesium manufactured as described above can suppress the intake of inorganic ions such as sulfate ions and chloride ions, and can efficiently ingest magnesium.
