titleOfInvention | Magnetic recording media |
abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase noise due to high output and storage in short wavelength recording with a central recording wavelength of 0.8 μm or less required for a small and high quality video tape. The present invention provides a magnetic recording medium with reduced noise. SOLUTION: A support has a magnetic coating on one surface thereof and a magnetic coating film having a surface smoothness of 0.004 μm or less in center line average roughness, and a carbon black of primary particles or aggregates on the other surface. A tape-like layer used for high-density recording at a center recording wavelength of 0.8 μm or less, characterized in that a back coat layer having a surface smoothness of 0.01 μm or less in center line average roughness is provided. Magnetic recording medium. |
