titleOfInvention Chlorin or bacteriochlorin-based aminophenyl DTPA or N2S2 conjugate for MR contrast agent or radiopharmaceutical
abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry a radioactive element to cells of a hyperproliferative tissue in diagnostic MR imaging of hyperproliferative tissue such as neovascular proliferation associated with a wet form of tumor or age-related macular degeneration. A novel contrast imaging compound that dramatically enhances the signal generated by tumor tissue. SOLUTION: Porphyrin, chlorin, bacteriochlorin, or tetrapyrrole-related compound and technetium 99 , a composition that is a chemical combination with a radioactive element such as gadolinium, indium 111 or radioactive iodine.
