(57) [Summary] [Problem] To make a plate directly from digital information of a computer or the like, maintain the solubility of a non-image part in an alkali developing solution and the dissolution resistance of an image part, and have excellent development stability. Provided is a method for replenishing a lithographic printing plate developer capable of continuously making a lithographic printing plate with a constant quality. SOLUTION: A positive photosensitive layer for infrared laser containing (A) a water-insoluble and alkali-soluble polymer compound and (B) a compound which absorbs light and generates heat is formed on a support. A lithographic printing plate precursor, after exposure with an infrared laser, a method of replenishing an alkali developing solution for development, Each time a predetermined amount of a lithographic printing plate precursor is developed, an aqueous surfactant solution is added to the alkali developing solution. An alkali agent can be added to the alkali developing solution independently of the addition of the surfactant aqueous solution. |
