titleOfInvention Mold for fiber assembly molding
abstract (57) [Summary] [PROBLEMS] To obtain a fiber assembly molding die excellent in moldability and productivity. SOLUTION: A mold for forming a fiber assembly by filling an opened fiber assembly into a cavity of a mold and performing thermoforming. The fiber assembly to be molded is a matrix in which binder fibers having a lower melting point than the short fibers are dispersed and mixed in a matrix composed of short fibers of synthetic fibers having a crimped form. A part or whole of the cavity surface is formed by laminating a flexible and air-permeable material.
