titleOfInvention Method for reforming electrolyte and modified electrolyte
abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolyte reforming method and a modified electrolyte for modifying a polymer electrolyte so as to impart high heat resistance and durability while maintaining conductivity. SOLUTION: In the method for modifying an electrolyte according to the present invention, an amine treatment for bringing an amine compound into contact with a perfluoropolymer electrolyte or a precursor thereof is performed. Preferably, after the amine treatment, either a heat treatment for heating the perfluoropolymer electrolyte or a precursor thereof or a base treatment for bringing a base into contact with the perfluoropolymer electrolyte or a precursor thereof is performed, and the amine treatment is particularly preferably performed. After the treatment, a base treatment is performed, followed by a heat treatment. Ammonia is preferably used for the amine compound. The modified electrolyte obtained by such a method can improve heat resistance and durability while maintaining conductivity. Therefore, softening and deformation at high temperatures can be suppressed, and creep in long-term use can be prevented.
