abstract (57) [Problem] To provide a carbonization apparatus which has a simple apparatus structure, has good energy efficiency, and can save energy. A carbonization furnace for carbonizing organic matter. And a drying device 42 provided near the carbonization furnace 12 for drying the organic matter and the like. The carbonization furnace 12 includes a chimney 26 for discharging exhaust gas, and a flue gas introduction pipe 44 branched from the chimney 26 and connected to a drying device 42. The carbonization furnace 12 includes a closed carbonization chamber 20, a dry distillation gas extraction means 38 connected to the carbonization chamber 20, and a combustible gas generated by the carbonization processing and taken out of the carbonization furnace 12. An apparatus 40 for reburning the carbonized gas for burning the carbonized gas in the carbonization furnace 12 is provided.
