PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a metal complex in which a ligand can be rapidly coordinated to a substitutionally inactive metal ion to obtain a target complex in high yield. SOLUTION: The method for producing an organic ligand-containing metal complex from an inorganic metal complex and an organic ligand includes the step of generating an ultrahigh frequency having a wavelength of 1 cm or more and 1 m or less in the presence of the inorganic metal complex and the organic ligand.
