An encapsulated magnetorheological fluid 1 in which such a microcapsule 1 is mixed in a rubber-like elastic body 5. An apparatus using an encapsulated magnetorheological fluid having a magnetorheological fluid-containing member made of a rubber-like elastic material mixed with an encapsulated magnetorheological fluid.
