abstract | (57) Abstract: Provided is a polyolefin separator used in an alkaline battery, particularly an alkaline secondary battery, which has excellent affinity for an electrolytic solution. When performing sulfonation treatment with a benzenesulfonic acid derivative, the limiting viscosity is 0.2 or more and 1.0 d or more. 1 / g or less of the olefin resin fiber is pre-soaked in the benzene sulfonic acid derivative solution at about normal temperature, and the benzene sulfonic acid derivative is permeated into the olefin resin fiber, and then heated and sulfonated. A separator having a sulfone group inside the resin is obtained. The separator has 1 × 10 −3 mol / m 2 or more of acidic groups that are not neutralized after being immersed in an alkaline electrolyte, and enables an alkaline battery having an excellent capacity retention without causing a decrease in strength. |
