abstract (57) [Summary] [Problem] A plasma image screen having high brightness. In particular, an AC plasma image screen in a coplanar arrangement is provided. SOLUTION: A UV light emitting layer 8 is formed on a front plate 1 including a glass plate 3 on which a dielectric layer 4 and a protective layer 5 are mounted, or has a phosphor layer 10. Formed on the carrier plate 2. The layer 8 has a wavelength of 200 to 3 for VUV light of plasma discharge. It is configured to include a VUV phosphor that converts to 50 nm UV light and emits it in the direction of the phosphor layer 10.
