(57) Abstract: Provided is an ink jet recording method capable of forming an image having excellent graininess and sharpness. An ink jet printing apparatus having a plurality of heads for ejecting two or more types of black inks having different densities and an ink not containing a coloring agent used only for a non-image portion of a print medium is used. In the ink jet recording method for forming an image by ejecting ink from a plurality of heads to a print medium, the black ink and the ink containing no colorant may have an average particle diameter of 10 nm to 10 nm.
