[PROBLEMS] To efficiently decompose an organic halogen compound by a simple treatment. SOLUTION: A dehalogenation catalyst comprising activated carbon 1 and Pd particles 2, and Ti supported on the surface of palladium particles 2 The organic halogen compound is decomposed by the composite photocatalyst composed of the O 2 particles 3. By irradiating the TiO 2 particles 3 with light, OH radicals and hydrogen are generated, and the hydrogen causes a dehalogenation reaction. The hydrogen is used to form a halogenated hydride and an organic compound containing no halogen atom by a dehalogenation catalyst. And the organic compound is decomposed by OH radicals generated by the photocatalyst. |
