titleOfInvention | Method for producing aromatic nitro compound |
abstract | (57) [Summary] [PROBLEMS] To reduce the load of waste liquid treatment and the like by producing an aromatic nitro compound useful as a raw material for pharmaceuticals, agricultural chemicals and the like without using a strong acid. SOLUTION: In the production of an aromatic nitro compound by nitrating an aromatic compound having at least one substitutable hydrogen in the aromatic ring, the nitration is carried out in the presence of a nitrate and a carboxylic acid anhydride as a catalyst. The reaction is performed using a rare earth catalyst represented by the general formula (1), RE (OSO 2 Rf) 3 (1) (wherein, RE represents a rare earth atom and Rf represents a perfluoroalkyl group). |
