| abstract |
(57) Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a method and a system for releasing a golf ball having a casting layer, which enable release of a golf ball from a mold assembly at a high temperature. The present invention applies a first direction force to an upper mold half of a mold assembly and a second lateral force to a bottom mold half of the mold assembly. Then, the mold assembly is separated, and the golf ball is released from the upper half mold. Preferably, the mold assembly is used to mold a thermoset polyurethane cover over the core and the boundary layer. The bottom mold half may have two tapered pins, or one tapered retractable pin. |
