abstract (57) [Summary] [PROBLEMS] The NOx adsorption catalyst deteriorates with time due to the absorption of sulfur contained in exhaust gas by the NOx adsorption catalyst, but the engine output during regeneration processing for recovering the deterioration. There was a problem that fuel economy was impaired by the increase. SOLUTION: The increase in engine output during the time-regeneration regeneration treatment of a NOx adsorption catalyst is absorbed (recovered) by a generator or a drive motor of a hybrid electric vehicle, thereby suppressing the effect of engine output fluctuation and reducing fuel consumption. Damage can be prevented.
