titleOfInvention Judgment method of windshield fogging limit using humidity sensor
abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for determining an operation of an appropriate climate control system to be taken in order to prevent windshield fogging when there is rainfall. A method is provided for determining a fog limit of a windshield for automatically controlling a heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system of a vehicle. The method includes a step 102 of determining a windshield parameter as a function of rainfall occurrence and a step 104 of determining a temperature difference based on the cabin temperature and the outside air temperature. The method also includes determining 106 a fog limit relative humidity based on the windshield parameters and the temperature difference, and determining 108 a likelihood of fog based on the difference between the fog limit relative humidity and the estimated cabin relative humidity. ,including. The method further includes determining 110 an anti-fog operation to be based on the fogging potential and taking the determined anti-fog operation to control the HVAC system, 112-120.
