titleOfInvention | Method for producing optically active 4,4,4-trifluoro-3-hydroxybutanoic acid ester derivative |
abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optically active 4,4,4 which is an important intermediate of functional materials such as pharmaceuticals, agricultural chemicals, and ferroelectric liquid crystals. To provide a method for producing a trifluoro-3-hydroxybutanoic acid ester derivative. SOLUTION: Optically active 4,4,4-trifluoro-3 -Hydroxy-1-aryl-1-butanone derivative is subjected to Bayer-Villiger oxidation to give optically active 4,4,4-trifluoro-3- without impairing optical purity. It can be converted to a hydroxybutanoic acid aryl ester derivative, followed by a transesterification reaction with a lower alcohol under an acidic condition to obtain optically active 4,4,4-trifluoro-3-hydroxybutanoic acid without impairing optical purity. Produce an alkyl ester derivative. |
