abstract |
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricating oil additive which has a low corrosive action on a copper plate and can maintain a low friction loss of a lubricating oil for an internal combustion engine even after long-term use. SOLUTION: The reaction product is obtained by reacting a molybdenum compound, an excess alkali hydrogen sulfide or an alkali sulfide, a secondary amine, and carbon disulfide, and comprises a molybdenum-containing reaction product from which molybdenum dithiocarbamate and a corrosive component are removed.
