titleOfInvention Wastewater treatment method in polyester manufacturing process
abstract (57) Abstract: A polyester production process capable of reducing acetaldehyde content in wastewater by chemically treating acetaldehyde into another compound and preventing acetaldehyde from evaporating into the atmosphere. Of wastewater treatment method in Japan. SOLUTION: An alkaline compound is added to waste water containing 10 to 3000 ppm of acetaldehyde by-produced in a polyester production process to reduce the acetaldehyde content in the waste water.
