abstract [PROBLEMS] To reduce leakage current by aging a solid electrolytic capacitor more efficiently than aging relying on moisture absorption. In addition, the leakage current is reduced while suppressing a decrease in capacitance. SOLUTION: A capacitor element including a valve metal, an oxide film layer and a solid electrolyte layer has a boiling point of 150 ° C. An organic compound having a melting point of 50 ° C. or less is contained, and the capacitor element is disposed inside the package with the organic compound included. The application of a DC voltage restores the oxide film using the organic compound as a solvent. Further, a substance having a reduction potential equal to or higher than the hydrogen generation potential is contained in the solid electrolyte layer together with (or instead of) the organic compound.
