[PROBLEMS] To provide an ink jet printing method and apparatus which can correspond to digital image data and can print different images clearly, inexpensively and at high speed on a printed matter. In an ink jet printing method for forming an image directly on a print medium based on a signal of image data, an electrostatic field formed by applying a voltage to an electrode provided in an ink head in accordance with a digital image signal is generated. A print image is formed by a method of discharging oil-based ink by utilizing the method. |
