abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily producing a resin composition comprising a polyester and a polyimide having a difference in melt viscosity because the degree of polymerization of polyimide is high and the melt viscosity is extremely high. SOLUTION: In producing a resin composition mainly composed of an ultrahigh molecular weight polyimide having a reduced viscosity of 5.0 or more and 30 or less and a polyester, polyester polymerization is performed in the presence of the polyimide.
